How do I extract audio from video sources?

Audio Extractor for Windows

Overview

How do I extract audio from supported audio and video sources?

Answer

  1. Choose the file or files you want to add to the Queue. From the Ribbon in the File Selection. You can add a single file or multiple files with Select Videos, you can select all videos in a single folder with Select Folder and you can select all videos in a folder and all of it's sub folders with Select Folder Tree. You can also drag supported files from Windows Explorer onto the list view in the middle of the form. If a file is supported it will be added to the list, if it's not it will not.
  2. All files queued will be in the Extraction Options tab. You can use the delete key to remove selected items from the list.
  3. In the ribbon you can change the output format and the output bitrate. The default bitrate is to convert to an mp3 file at 128 kbps.
  4. Click Extract Audio from the ribbon at the top of the window or the button at the bottom right of the window.

The extraction process begins processing at the top of the list and works it's way down (there will be a progress bar indicator for each file). All files are extracted to an output folder called AudioExtractor in your Documents folder. The Open Output Folder button on the ribbon will open this folder in Windows Explorer.
